ANDHRA PRADESH

83 YEARS OF FRUITFUL MINISTRY OF I.P.C.

The Pentecostal movement was birthed in the southern state of Kerala. God used Pastor K. E. Abraham, Apostle P.M. Samuel, Pastor P.T. Chacko, Pastor K. C. Cherian, and other stalwarts to establish the work of the Indian Pentecostal Church of God in India.
In the month of August 1932, a special three days fasting and prayer meeting was organized in Kumbanad, Travancore (Kerala). It was at this meeting that Apostle P.M. Samuel heard the clarion call to go to the Telugu region (the present Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states) and preach the Pentecostal truth. When he came to the present Andhra Pradesh in 1932, there was not even a single Pentecostal church in this region but God honored Apostle P.M. Samuel’s dedication and used him in a great way.
